All of the deer in this seminar are New York deer, with some interesting video footage of some truly giant deer.
  • Field Judging Trophy Whitetails –Join FWO co-hosts, Gerry Rightmyer and Steve Schicker, as they discuss some of the challenges of field judging trophy whitetails. If you want to talk about giant whitetails, this seminar will help you accurately determine rack size while in the field. As a New York State Big Buck Club Measurer, Gerry will give you all of his trade secrets to “measuring” deer in the field.
  • Ground Blind Tactics For Deer And Turkey – Join Steve Schicker and Gerry Rightmyer as they discuss the advantages of hunting deer and turkey from a ground blind. Land Management Description:

This workshop offered by Benjamin Williams of Ol’ Tin Cup Habitat Restoration and Enhancement will highlight and list examples of different management strategies and habitat improvements. Topics discussed included but are not limited to: water holes, food plots, tree planting,  timber stand improvement, old field management etc. See Benjamin in Booth 87.

Photography Description:

Ron Good is an award winning photographer and has received recognition for his landscape and wildlife images in 3 states. His photographs have been displayed in homes, businesses and art galleries in over 8 states across the country; including images that are displayed in conference rooms for a national hotel chain.

Ron is also a professionally trained and certified educator with over 14 years teaching experience. Ron has lead numerous photographic classes for beginners and professionals; including teaching at local venues such as 171 Cedar Arts and the Community Arts of Elmira.

Outdoor Photography will cover basic guidelines to help improve your landscape and wildlife images. The first part of the seminar will cover fundamentals of exposure and artistic composition. The second part will include tips and suggestions related to photography in the local area. The entire seminar will be interactive and will conclude with Ron Fielding questions from the audience.
